Attorney General Beau Biden, Delaware’s chief law enforcement officer, has broad responsibility to combat crime, safeguard families, fight fraud, and protect consumers in the First State. In meeting this mission, Attorney General Biden is supported by an experienced and highly respected senior leadership team consisting of the Chief Deputy Attorney General, Chief of Staff, State Prosecutor, State Solicitor, and Directors of the Family and Fraud & Consumer Protection Divisions. Each of the more than 400 staff who work in the Office of the Attorney General are committed to the common goal of serving all Delawareans with integrity and dedication. Deputy Attorneys General, with critical support from criminal investigators, social workers, paraprofessionals, and administrative staff prosecute criminal cases, enforce environmental laws, provide counsel to state agencies, ensure the public's access to open government, protect the abused, and much more.

CONSUMER PROTECTION UNIT

The Consumer Protection Unit is responsible for enforcing Delaware consumer protection statutes and protecting the general public from consumer frauds and scams. In addition to pursuing enforcement action against those who violate our consumer protection laws, the CPU also participates in community outreach and consumer education events, engages in consumer advocacy, and actively contributes to coordinated state and federal consumer protection investigations and initiatives.
